2023 ShoeBox Movement
It’s that time of the year again where we start collecting trainer and shows for charities that we work with and providing support to people experiencing homelessness on Xmas Day. We’re collecting adults and children so please where possible donate trainers and shoes to our cause. Shoes and trainers can be dropped of in Hackney and Holloway Branch.
2022 Shoebox Movement
In 2022 we had another successful collection of 400 pairs of trainers from friends and family. We teamed up with Crisis Charity again providing them the bulk of the footware.
2021 Shoebox Movement
In 2021 we reached our target again of 500 pairs. We decided to work with more shelters that operate in the borough of Hackney as listed below enhancing our ethos of ‘Bringing communities together’ It was amazing working with them and providing shoes during the xmas period.
2020 Shoebox Movement
In 2020 we collected 500 pairs of shoes again with the support from two companies this year. The first was Afropopsocks who donated socks to the homeless for our movement. They produce authentic afro style socks that will definitely keep the homeless feet nice and warm during the winter season. The other company was Puma who donated 5 pairs of trainers to our cause helping towards our Shoebox movement.
2019 Shoebox Movement
After a fantastic 2019 Shoebox Movement we decided to go even further by supporting more charities and more homeless people in our borough of Hackney. This year we collected over 500 pairs of trainers which again is an amazing feat despite being in the midst of a pandemic. The community, friends, family and members of our gym pulled through for us and donated fantastic footwear.
